CHECK THE TIME
The Government of Mongolia cancelled the switch to Daylight Savings Time. Due to this decision, time setting of smartphones, tablets, laptops and other smart devices may now be one hour out of synchronization. They might have changed according to current automatic time-zone configurations set for these devices. If so, they may have moved forward by one hour.
Please check the time settings on all of your smart devices on March 25th. You may need to re-set the time to "Standard" time.
Refund, Withdrawal, Transfer
The annual Capital Building Fund (CBF) fee and the annual Tuition fee for a withdrawing student are refundable according to the amount of time remaining in the school year. The maximum amount of the CBF fee refundable is 50% and this refund will only be made if the student is withdrawn within 20 days after beginning at ISU. If the student attends more than 20 days, then the CBF is non-refundable. The amount of Tuition fee refund is based on the number of school days remaining in the semester. There is a 30% non-refundable portion.
You may download the school operating regulations regarding refunds by clicking on SOR2-D: TUITION AND OTHER FEES for more details.
It is important to note that once a student is withdrawn from active registration at ISU, that student is permitted to re-enrol at a later time with a priority advantage over other applicants. However, the student may only be re-registered as an ISU student if there is space available. Re-enrolment would require following all steps in the procedures for application for admission, including resubmission of a complete admissions application form with all supporting documents.
Please take withdrawal forms from reception.
When ISU students transfer to another school, be it a primary or secondary school, we will assist as required. For example, for secondary students in Grade 9 or above, an official transcript of semester marks may be prepared if requested. It is important to note that it is common practice for the receiving school (the school to which the student is transferring) to request from the sending school (ISU) reference information that can only be transferred directly from school to school. ISU will only provide such information at the request of the receiving school and will only notify parents that this request has been made and will be fulfilled.
Some students become anxious about an impending transfer to a new school. Please do let us know if your child has concerns, or indeed if you yourself have concerns, about the transfer. We will do our best to assist your family in transitioning from ISU to your new school.
