Teachers for School Year 2018-2019
Thank you for your interest in the International School of Ulaanbaatar. At this time we will need certified teachers to fill the positions listed below. We advertise these openings through the Search and Schrole systems as well as on this school web page.
If you are interested in teaching at ISU, we would be pleased to receive your application through either of the Search or Schrole application systems. Please do not send us your application directly UNLESS and UNTIL you have registered with either Search or Schrole. Please follow the instructions outlined on the How to Apply page of this website.
We are most interested in professional educators who are current practitioners of inquiry-based learning and are familiar with the IB and AERO curriculum standards. The majority of our students are EAL learners. Experience in differentiating learning activities and assessments for students based on language needs and other learning needs and styles will be highly valued. We put great emphasis on formative assessment being used by our teachers to inform their planning and implementation of learning activities. Ideal applicants will be able to demonstrate their similar use of student assessment in this manner.
We value our professional learning culture at ISU. Applicants should be very ready to devote time and effort into working closely with colleagues engaged in productive faculty collaboration and teamwork in curriculum planning, student assessment and professional development throughout the school year. Applicants should also be prepared to complete the TESMC course within their first two years at ISU. (Refer to http://www.decd.sa.gov.au/literacy/pages/Home/TESMC/?reFlag=1 for more information on TESMC.)
