“Giving Tree” at ISU

Earlier this month, the ISU Primary Students Leadership Team set up a Giving Tree with the aim to share the holiday spirit with the resident children of The Rainbow Center here in Ulaanbaatar.

Students, teachers and parents who wanted to participate, picked an ornament from the Giving Tree and bought a gift for the person whose name was inscribed on that ornament. They returned the gift to the Primary Students Leadership Team who then gave them to the Rainbow Center children during their visit to ISU on Thursday, December 15th.

The Giving Tree concept is an example of the strong relationship between ISU and The Rainbow Center. ISU students meet on a weekly basis with children from the Center so that they can all learn through playing and sharing skill development activities. For our ISU students, this partnership offers an opportunity for them to see life through the eyes of the children of the Rainbow Center, children who face their challenges with resilience and strength.
