ISU is a founding member of ACAMIS, the Association of Chinese and Mongolian International Schools. We belong to the Blue Division and secondary school students compete on girls and boys teams in Volleyball, Basketball, and Soccer. In the last 3 years, ISU has brought home championships in boys and girls volleyball, girls basketball, and boys and girls soccer. Our sports program is highly competitive against 6 other schools, most of which are two and three times our size. Other sports such as badminton and swimming will be added to our program as the school moves into our new athletic facilities.
ISU also is a founding member of UBAC, the Ulaanbaatar Athletic Conference, and competes at secondary, middle school, and elementary levels in team and individual sports. The secondary league runs at the same time with the ACAMIS seasons, and the the middle school and elementary teams occur within the Co-curricular activity program. Currently, we are offering teams in Middle School volleyball, basketball, soccer, and also a badminton, ping pong, pool, chess, and math tournament (ACE tournament).
