Our Schedule & School Hours
ISU's schedule is different this year - the school day is longer and each day is numbered for a 7-day rotation independent of the calendar days.
The length of each class period has increased by 5 minutes - students attend six 55-minute classes per day. The school day remains the same length and timing. Students need to be in their homeroom at 8:10 am and will finish their last class of the day at 3:10 pm - ending at the same time as last year. Co-curricular activities run from 3:15 - 4:00 pm.
To reduce the disproportionate loss of Monday and Friday classes and to give opportunity for more continous scheduling, classes are scheduled on a 7-day rotation. Each day of the school year has already been numbered and this numbering will not alter in the case of an unplanned or partial school closing. The day numbers can be found on the school calendar, on the home page of the website and posted throughout the school.
