It has been a busy week for all. Teachers are writing reports and you will receive your child’s Semester 1 report on Friday, February 5th. Report cards will provide you with insight into your child’s achievement in his or her classes. Secondary Parent Teacher Conferences will be held on the 18th of February. I encourage parents to discuss with your child about his/her performance and address their questions to our teachers.  This is the time for your child to reflect on his/her performance and determine what to focus on for the 2nd Semester.

The admin team has been working on renewing a Student Management System. We are looking for a product that will also enable us to give parents easy access to their children’s records and grades. This way, communication between parents school can improve and parents would be able to monitor their children’s study and behavior. We have sent our requirements to a few providers and we are waiting for their replies.

ISU basketball teams returned from their basketball tournament with trophies for the second place both boys and girls in our Division of ACAMIS. In fact, ISU is the only school where both girl and boy teams reached the championship game. The girls’ team also was awarded “Best Sportsmanship” trophy. Congratulations to Mr. Rickets, Ms. Lohman, Mr. Mewbourn and students for their successful games.

As usual, many interesting activities and events will take place at the school, such as Quarter 3 After School Activities, TOK presentations, Oral presentations, Parent Teacher Conferences and Tsagaan Sar Assembly. Please check your calendar for the dates and times.

I would like to extend my invitation to all parents and friends of the school to attend our traditional Tsagaan Sar Assembly on Friday, February 12, at 8:30am.
